OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and driven Regional Sales Director to lead the growth of our AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) solutions across a defined multi-state territory. This role is responsible for driving new utility sales, managing distributor relationships, and building a high-velocity pipeline of opportunities across water, gas, and electric utility markets. This is a high-velocity, boots-on-the-ground role focused on working through local distribution partners to win new water, gas, and electric AMI business.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a regional sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targetsIdentify and close new business opportunities with municipal utilities, cooperatives, and utility districtsBuild strong, trust-based relationships with utility stakeholders, consultants, and procurement officialsManage and support channel/distribution partners, including training, co-selling, and territory planningCoordinate with internal teams (engineering, product, support) to tailor solutions and ensure delivery alignmentStay informed on regulatory changes, competitive landscape, and utility procurement cycles within the regionRepresent the company at trade shows, conferences, and regional association meetingsRequired QualificationsSales experience in the utility, metering, or AMI spaceProven track record of exceeding sales quotas in a technical or capital equipment sales roleDeep understanding of the utility sales cycle, including RFPs, pilot programs, and board-driven purchasingExisting network of utility or distributor decision-makers in assigned territoryWillingness to travel frequently throughout the regionHunter Mentality — must have a proven track record of opening new accounts and winning competitive dealsPreferred QualificationsExperience working for or selling legacy AMI solutions (Neptune, Badger, Sensus, Aclara)Background in metering distribution, especially aligned with legacy vendorsExperience across water, gas, and electric verticalsProven ability to close multi-year, multi-utility, or turn-key solutionsWillingness to learn modern AMI strategies (cellular, multi-carrier, etc.)Competitive edge — still has something to proveCompensation We offer a competitive base salary tailored to your experience and market, an uncapped commission structure with On-Target Earnings (OTE) ranging from $300,000 to $500,000, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. A company vehicle is provided, and for the right candidate, a signing bonus may also be available. Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
