Position Overview:
The Intern Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, mentoring, and evaluating LADC and LPCC track Clinical Interns during their placement at Fellowship Recovery, a licensed co-occurring treatment facility. This position ensures interns develop practical, ethical, and competent clinical skills while adhering to agency policies and Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (BBHT) regulations. The Intern Supervisor provides direct supervision, collaborates with internal staff and academic institutions, and ensures intern compliance with 245G and licensing expectations. This role may include carrying out a part-time client caseload as needed to support program operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group supervision to up to 10 interns, including ADC-T interns, dual-track interns, and social work interns
- Maintain consistent communication with partnering colleges and universities to ensure compliance with internship objectives, supervision requirements, and hour tracking
- Oversee intern caseloads, documentation, and performance to ensure quality client care and adherence to agency standards
- Support interns in completing Diagnostic Assessments (DAs), treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and related documentation
- Coordinate with the Clinical Director and Program Managers to align intern schedules with group programming and client needs
- Participate in weekly leadership and supervision meetings to ensure consistency across programs
- Foster a supportive and professional learning environment consistent with Fellowship Recovery’s mission, values, and ethical standards
- Provide evening supervision coverage for interns in later programming hours as needed
- This position may involve both in-person and telehealth supervision and client interaction.
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods during sessions and documentation.
- May occasionally require travel to community sites, schools, or partner agencies.
- Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
- The environment may involve exposure to emotional situations, unpredictable client behavior, and crises requiring calm intervention.
- Regular interaction with individuals experiencing mental health symptoms and/or substance use withdrawal.
- Dual licensure and status as a Board-Approved Supervisor, including an LADC (required) and a mental health license such as LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, or LP (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience supervising interns and maintaining collaboration with academic institutions
- Strong understanding of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of interns across multiple program areas and schedules
- Experience in the mental health field, including completing Diagnostic Assessments (DAs) and conducting individual therapy sessions
- Familiarity with Minnesota DHS 245G and 245I requirements, including documentation, treatment planning, and supervision standards
- Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- While LICSW supervision is not required, Fellowship Recovery has an LICSW on site to provide supervision for social work interns if needed
