Position Summary
The Discipleship Pastor-Midtown is responsible for working under the direction of the Campus Pastor to assist with leadership and shepherding of the Midtown campus staff and church body.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Help share the load of leadership with the Campus Pastor
- Oversee and give leadership when there is a staff vacancy
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations as needed
- Co-lead the staff in oversight, direction, encouragement and staff meetings
- Provide leadership and administrative oversight to the pastoral staff team, ensuring unity and effective communication across ministries
- Help lead in transitioning Midtown to 3 services
- Teach equipping classes, trainings, membership, and on Sundays 1-3 times a year
- Be a presence on the platform through service pastoring and other ways as needed
- Lead ongoing training and development for D Group leaders including Leader Launch
- Shepherd a portion of D Groups
- Elevate the level of intentionality so that discipleship naturally leads to multiplication
- Oversee Assimilation and Membership
- Lead ministry team leaders, providing support, encouragement and accountability
- Provide pastoral care through counseling, hospital visits, weddings, and funerals
- Help improve ministry effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and planning
- Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Required – Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred – Master’s degree from an accredited seminary
- Preferred- 5-10 years of ministry experience in a multisite church Context
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Collaborative mindset, willing to support and unify the broader team
- Understands how to manage the tension of serving on multiple teams in the same context
- Ability to lead staff and volunteers with clarity and care
- Constant learner who is eager to grow in ministry and leadership
- Able to initiate and drive projects to completion without constant oversight
- Strong communicator, both in written and verbal formats
- Compassionate and wise in handling people and pastoral situations
- Skilled in planning, delegation, and strategic follow through
- Committed to Fellowship Bible Church’s mission, values, and beliefs
- High relational capacity and a servant’s heart
- Handle confidential information in a Christ like and professional manner
- A heart to serve the Lord and grow his Kingdom
- If not a member of Fellowship Bible Church, will commit to going through the membership process
- Regular involvement in Fellowship Bible Church activities and events
- Signed acknowledgement of Fellowship Bible Church’s “Confession of Faith” form
- Signed acknowledgement to policies and procedures as stated in Fellowship Bible Church’s Employee Manual
- Living out the spiritual principles outlined in the “Code of Conduct”

- 40-45 hours/wk. Sun-Thur with flexibility for evening and weekend events
