The Workforce Development Manager will facilitate employment-related programs and services for people with disabilities. The Workforce Development Manager will work with the Employment Advisors to maximize the employment outcomes for people served through employment customization, innovation, and a focus on personal employment outcomes. The Workforce Development Manager will be a member of the Leadership Council. This position must meet all the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional and complete all trainings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings experience facilitating employment programs and services for people with disabilities, with the ability to manage and coach Direct Support Professionals effectively. They must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively across teams, and the capacity to exercise initiative and think creatively to improve processes. The ideal candidate must also be able to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment and maintain a focus on achieving measurable employment outcomes.
This position requires five years of working and supporting people with disabilities, with at least two years of facilitating services for people based in the community. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a valid Maryland Driver’s License with no major violations.
