What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Advisor position at Fello?

The Employment Advisor provides job coaching and retention services to an assigned group, working with an interdisciplinary team to deliver wraparound supports that help people with disabilities retain employment and improve work skills. They will conduct job development and job search activities tailored to each person's unique interests and strengths, provide individualized follow-along supports, and facilitate both virtual and in-person job coaching. The Employment Advisor may also provide transportation to and from work and must meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, creative, and innovative team player with a demonstrated ability to provide support in a respectful manner that meets the various needs of persons served. They possess strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with persons served, their families, coworkers, employers, and other stakeholders. Basic computer skills and proven ability to use MS Word, Outlook, and other technology tools used to support people with disabilities are required.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience working with people with disabilities. A Bachelor's degree and experience working in workforce development programs are a plus. A valid Maryland Driver's License with no significant traffic violations is required. Candidates must also be able to complete all required Fello and DDA trainings.
