The Director of Construction Management will provide project leadership for all capital construction and renovations of affordable and market-rate housing, mixed-used facilities, and corporate offices. The Director will oversee a team of Project Coordinators and consultants to manage all design and construction activities on time and on budget. The Director of Construction Management will work in partnership across the divisions of Fello Communities. This position is a member of the Fello Communities Senior Leadership Team and the enterprise-wide Expanded Executive Leadership Team and Leadership Council. This position is deemed essential during weather emergencies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings experience managing general contractors, architects, civil engineers, and other contractor groups, with strong project management and data analysis skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required; Procore, AutoCAD, and property management software is a plus. They demonstrate exceptional critical and strategic thinking, the ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations, and are solutions oriented. They must thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with the ability to remain flexible and calm under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role.
This position requires a high school diploma and five years of project/construction management experience. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or construction related field is preferred.
