The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for receiving all incoming freight and distributing it to its designated area along with packaging and shipping all outbound freight. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is also responsible for operating forklifts in a safe and efficient manner to transport raw materials, components, and subassemblies to and from storage areas and to the production floor.
Essential Specific Job Duties:
- Conducts forklift safety check before use.
- Fuels forklifts as needed.
- Unloads freight as needed.
- Adheres to quality standards at all times.
- Adheres to safety standards at all times.
- Picks, packs and ships parts as needed.
- Uses ERP to monitor and adjust inventory.
- Stocks parts into inventory and may take inventory as needed.
- Helps Parts/Service Department as directed.
- Unlocks and locks gates and buildings as needed.
- Loads and unloads forklifts with raw materials, parts, components and subassemblies as needed.
- Delivers raw materials, parts, components and subassemblies to work stations in a safe and timely fashion to assure uninterrupted production.
- Stores goods in warehouses and storage areas in proper locations.
- Maintains storage areas and all work areas in a clean, orderly and safe fashion.
- Conducts cycle counting and inventory counting as needed.
- Notifies the supervisor of any observed inventory discrepancies.
