Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservation lists and walk-in guest flow to optimize seating efficiency
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable
- Assist servers by clearing empty dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Support the service team with timely table turnovers to enhance guest satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries with clear communication and positive attitude
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to assist with guest orders when needed
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant menu offerings and special promotions to answer guest questions confidently
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or busser in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette for engaging with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest relations, and serving procedures is beneficial
