JV Softball Coach and Athletics Assistant

Felician University is presently offering an exciting opportunity for an energetic and goal-oriented individual with coaching experience in collegiate softball to serve as the Junior Varsity Softball Coach and Athletics Assistant. Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Junior Varsity Softball Coach  and Athletics Assistant is responsible for the training, direction and supervision of the student athletes participating in the Junior Varsity Softball Program, as well as the execution of the operational aspects of the program. Outside of JV Softball season, s/he supports the Athletics Operations Coordinator on the day-to-day management of all aspects for the Department of Athletics, including but not limited to: special events, tournaments and facility rentals and maintenance.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required; degree may be waived with significant practical coaching experience

Qualifications:

• Minimu 1-2 years of collegiate coaching experience
• Professional appearance and demeanor; ability and willingness to serve as a role model for student athletes. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Well-developed organizational skills, detail-oriented.
• Excellent physical condition, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings. 
• Demonstrated ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and experience levels. 
• Ddemonstarted knowledge iof NCAA Division II and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rules and regulations
• Ability and willingness to support and promote the Franciscan Felician mission and values of the University.
