We are seeking an experienced Billing Supervisor to oversee our billing operations and support a high‑performance team. This role blends hands‑on billing responsibilities with leadership duties, ensuring timely, accurate invoicing and exceptional service to attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoice preparation and posting.
- Meet regularly with partners to review WIP and A/R, highlight issues, and recommend next steps.
- Prepare, audit, and finalize monthly prebills, including rate reviews, special arrangements, and formatting updates.
- Manage electronic billing workflows, troubleshoot rejections, and ensure successful invoice submission.
- Maintain billing data integrity in Aderant, including bill formats, bill groups, and client arrangements.
- Monitor monthly WIP and A/R trends, escalating issues to attorneys and management when necessary.
- Supervise and mentor billing staff, set priorities, assign work, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Resolve escalated inquiries from attorneys, secretaries, and clients regarding billing and payment issues.
- Coordinate matter transitions for departing attorneys and ensure accurate setup of new clients and matters.
- Collaborate with the Billing Manager on departmental processes, staffing needs, reporting, and procedural improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of law firm billing experience, including supervisory or team‑lead responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency with Aderant and experience with electronic billing platforms.
- Advanced skills in Excel and solid proficiency in Word and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex billing processes clearly.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
- Solid judgment and problem‑solving ability; comfortable handling sensitive or escalated issues.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet time‑sensitive deadlines.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
