Feldman, Kramer & Monaco is seeking a Medicaid Paralegal to join our firm. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, organized and detail-oriented.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing and submitting Medicaid applications for Institutional applications and Community-Based applications
- Maintaining cases and deadlines required by the Medicaid Agency
- Assisting clients to obtain documentation
- Communication with financial institutional to obtain documentation
- Assist Attorney(s) with clients, answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Two (2) years' experience in the preparation and filing of Institutional applications and Community-Based Home Care applications
- Knowledge of Income and Resource guidelines, Promissory Notes and Manage Long Term Care Agency procedures
- The ability to interact with families that pertain to Medicaid application process
- The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to adhere to Medicaid deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Time Matters
- Must be a team player
- Full Time role
- MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A MEDICAID COORDINATOR/SPECIALIST TO BE CONSIDERED
- NOTE: This position is a 35 hour work week.
Salary : $40 - $45
