I. SUMMARY:
The main responsibility of this position is to ensure that the production lines are producing parts
that meet the customers’ specifications, to improve process operations through continuous
improvement projects, to troubleshoot process related obstacles, and to implement new and old
product programs. This is achieved by monitoring the foaming process, making any necessary
corrections to the foam or robot programs, and assisting in continuous improvement projects. This
involves communication within the process department, mixing shop, frequent interaction between
maintenance, quality, production, and mold set-up.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Daily process operations. Majority of the day is spent on the production floor.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production lines to ensure minimal downtime and production parts up to
quality standards.
• Monitor, adjust, and trend production part quality and mold/tool parameters to customers’
specifications.
• Adjust process conditions, foam programs, and machine parameters to improve part
quality.
• Instruct production, maintenance, tooling, and mold set-up employees when needed to correct
equipment failures.
• Operate and correct vision systems/ tools to maintain production and part quality.
• Assist mixing shop in making chemical batches, and receiving raw materials.
• Ensure prescribed PM’s are completed timely manner utilizing CMMS system.
• Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved
efficiency.
• Implement new continuous improvement projects and set process unit operating limits.
• Identify and mitigate risks on capital project and expense projects.
• Weekly on-call rotation schedule will be required.
• Knowledge in SAP Conduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop
mitigation strategies. Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the Process
Engineer function. This would include the most currently applicable IATF 16949, ISO, and TISAX
standard.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Encourage safe practices
and a safety-first mindset among coworkers.

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide mentorship to process technicians and mix shop by promoting and participating in
knowledge transfer.

Employee must have working knowledge of manufacturing environment. The individual will be
responsible for overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and executing
long term strategic plans. Must be self-motivated and possess well developed leadership skills.
Minimum Requirement:
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, polymer science, mechanical engineering,
robotica/automation, or related field.
• Technical skills in lean manufacturing processes, strong mechanical aptitude, and statistical
experiments.
Preferred:
• 3 years of experience in process engineering or related field
• Robot/CNC programming, automotive quality standards, statistical experiments, pumps, drives,
sensors, hydraulics, and pneumatics are preferred.
• Production processing of Polyurethane or Plastic Injection Molding
VI. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets basic instructions and required documents. Has the
ability to respond and communicate complicated instruction and basic directions.
