Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with Mamani's recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to Mamani's recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before each service
- Execute menu items efficiently and accurately during high-volume service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation throughout the shift
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory
- Participate in prep work, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Adapt to changing menu items and daily specials as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience as a line cook in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, methods, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and composure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
