Description
Provides administrative support to Development Department. Responsible for gift entry and acknowledgment for the organization, work helping to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the donor database.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for data entry and gift processing, including facilitating donation acknowledgments and thank you letters.
- Routinely examine and cleanse current data records to eliminate duplicate records and inconsistent data and to maintain overall database integrity.
- Responsible for input and verification of gifts from credit card and lockbox services as well as third party online donation platforms.
- Maintain prospective and current donor records with utmost accuracy.
- Assist with any and all mission work as needed and requested with some or no prior notice including, but not limited to: serving as a truck spotter, helping with Farm Market/Community Garden/Freight Farms/on and off-site food distributions, preparation of meals and serving home-delivered meals and
- Other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and stay focused in a busy environment.
- Ability to use logic and analysis to troubleshoot issues. Thinking anticipatorily is greatly beneficial.
- Solid understanding of the gift processing, data and reporting needs of a development/fundraising office.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with ability to work regularly with various software programs (including Blackbaud Raisers Edge & NXT), lockbox providers and to pull information from the database as requested by other departments.
- Able to effectively communicate tactfully and diplomatically with staff and public.
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity required.
- Valid and current NYS driver’s license and access to an automobile
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 35 lbs.
Salary : $18 - $20
