POSITION SUMMARY
This position values internal and external guests and is committed to providing a clean and safe campus. This position requires moderate to extreme physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Candidates should be polite, friendly, and able to follow direction easily.
Performs general cleaning and minor maintenance duties at The Causeway Center to maintain the warehouse facility, offices, adjacent walks and grounds, and equipment in clean, orderly, and functional condition. Responsible for set up and tear down of various events, such as meetings, conferences, banquets, and celebrations. Aids staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Duties
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of Feeding Tampa Bay
- Receives oral or written orders from the Facility Services Supervisor.
- Performs duties according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
- Cleans/Sanitizes rooms, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, offices, bathrooms, appliances, general warehouse and windows.
- Uses brooms, mops, and floor equipment to sweep, mop, scrub, strip and wax (when needed).
- Uses vacuum cleaners to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and blinds.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Cleans walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets.
- Replenishes restroom supplies.
- Operate equipment at height (for high bay cleaning/cobweb removal) with proficiency and safety
- Maintains stock of restroom/cleaning supplies
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of cleaning equipment, storage rooms and mop rooms.
- Sweeps and maintains cleanliness of outside grounds.
- Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to appropriate rooms upon delivery to the facility.
- Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
- Work cooperatively with all staff members
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours
- Reports duties accomplished via electronic logging device to supervisor daily.
- Understands third-party audit requirements and Feeding America compliance guidelines that pertain to facilities.
- Ensure facilities meet compliance per Feeding America guidelines and third-party audit.
- Assists in monitoring/managing inventory levels, ordering needs, and receiving custodial supplies and materials.
- Provides assistance to staff, visitors, and other guests as necessary.
- Checks building safety/cleanliness at beginning and end of shifts.
- May occasionally be required to perform duties at offsite locations such as Trinity Cafes or other partner facilities.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Building cleaning experience; preferred
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed oral or written instructions
- Ability to relate to officials, staff and public in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work in an environment that will contain variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to noise, dust/dirt
- Bend, stop, crouch, climb, stand, sit, walk and turn/pivot throughout an 8 hour shift, 5 days a week
- Hours: TBD, but typically Mon-Fri 6 AM - 2:30 PM. Must be willing to work some Saturdays. Schedule varies based on the needs of the event calendar and other factors.
