Overview Of Position
FEDITC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer (CONUS) to work in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for LAN/WLAN/WAN network issues, configuration management, and communications interconnection within CONUS operations.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues across all layers of the OSI model.
- Perform installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership and coordinate with engineers, government personnel, and stakeholders.
- Utilize tools such as SolarWinds Orion, ARMIS, and Ansible for monitoring and diagnostics.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and IDS systems to maintain network security and prevent unauthorized access.
- Develop and implement network standards, policies, and procedures aligned with DoD requirements.
- Analyze network performance and implement improvements to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency.
- Evaluate vendor solutions and recommend enhancements to support mission requirements.
- Communicate status updates and technical solutions to customers and leadership.
- Support modernization initiatives including Zero Trust Architecture.
- Participate in additional technical projects as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience/Skills
- Expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP.
- Strong experience with LAN/WAN architectures, routing, switching, and multi-protocol environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco systems, Windows environments, Active Directory, UNIX, and OpenVMS.
- Experience with network monitoring tools, cable testers, OTDR, and packet analysis tools.
- Knowledge of MIB, MRTG, and performance monitoring strategies.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture (preferred).
- Experience supporting DoD environments (healthcare systems experience preferred).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of relevant experience OR
- Technical/Vocational training AND 10 years of progressively complex networking experience
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are required.
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
