Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Contract Manager to support program operations in San Antonio, TX.
A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract administration and compliance across assigned programs.
- Manage contract lifecycle activities including proposal support, contract award, modifications, and closeout.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (FAR/DFARS), contract terms, and company policies.
- Provide guidance to program managers and technical leads on contract requirements, risks, and obligations.
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and funding to ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with government contracting officers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Review and negotiate contract terms, conditions, and modifications.
- Support subcontract management, including drafting, reviewing, and administering subcontracts.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain contract documentation, records, and audit readiness.
- Assist with pricing, cost proposals, and contract compliance reviews.
- Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support additional program or corporate initiatives as required.
Experience/Skills:
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD contracting processes.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts, preferably within DoD environments.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with subcontract management and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Finance, or related field AND 5 years of relevant experience
OR - 10 years of progressively responsible experience in government contract administration
Certifications:
- Required: Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Desired: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or equivalent and DAWIA Certification (or equivalent) is a plus
Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
