Center Director

The Paley Early Learning Center, a NAEYC accredited and Keystone Star 4 child care center (Northeast Philadelphia) is seeking a full-time, experienced director for its 230 child center (ages six weeks to 12 years). This well established center is administered by Federation Early Learning Services, a multi-site, non-profit organization, known as a leader in the field. Paley is a wonderful center amidst Pennypack Park with a full size gymnasium, 13 classrooms (2 Head Start, 2 Pre-K Counts), a staff lounge and a conference room just to name a few of the attributes that make this center so special. An experienced and capable management and administrative team is in place to support the director and ensure the smooth operation of the center.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
• A demonstrated record (minimum of three years) of maintaining a high quality, positive, nurturing and enriching early childhood program and facilitating open communication with staff, parents, and community members
• Demonstrated record of successfully supervising teachers, managers, administrative and part-time staff
• Demonstrated success in a leadership role in the implementation of quality initiatives (NAEYC accreditation and Keystone Stars)
• Excellent written, organization and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated success in managing a budget
• Demonstrated success working in a large organization and implementing policies and procedures

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
