We are looking for a Surgical Technician to work in Sierra Vista, AZ supporting our client.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to support
surgical teams in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate
will have hands-on experience in the operating room, a strong understanding of
sterile technique, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical
environment.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
- Applies principles of asepsis to perform scrub
duties for operative procedures.
- Prepares operating rooms by setting up
instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assists surgeons and nurses during procedures by
anticipating needs and passing instruments.
- Maintains a sterile field throughout surgical
procedures.
- Handles, cleans, and prepares surgical
instruments and equipment according to protocols.
- Assists with patient positioning and transport
as needed.
- Follows all safety, infection control, and
regulatory standards.
Required
Qualifications:
- Surgical Technician certification or completion of an accredited Surgical
Technician program.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
in an operating room setting.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures,
instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work
under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience in a hospital or surgical center
environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
