Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist in the month end accounting close process for multi-location reporting including journal entries and allocations, basic financial reports, and account reconciliation support.
- Support accounts receivable processes including but not limited to cash applications, customer reference checks, annual credit review, customer set ups, and other supporting duties for defined business unit sites.
- Provide assistance with the accounts payable function including vendor master maintenance for the business unit sites.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a heavy focus on Excel
- File Folder/ File Sharing experience required – basic understanding of shared drives and file organization.
- Experience working with larger accounting systems a plus
- Demonstrated research and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (email, phone, and in-person)
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
