- Provide guidance to new or junior staff
- Represent the Section or Division on group projects or task forces
- Advise senior staff and managers
- Develop areas of domain expertise
- Contribute insight/advice/guidance on facility design features related to physical security, security recommendations/ law enforcement resources and guidance for new and existing facilities
- Perform assessments of physical assets and facilities within the Federal Reserve System

- Work is nonstandard and widely varied requiring interpretation and application of a substantial variety of procedures, policies, and/or precedents used in combination. Plan the design of projects involving FR Bank protection policy to further the work of the Division/Section. Manage all stages of a project to ensure that commitments are met in a timely manner and within budget. Allocate resources appropriately to achieve goals. Define roles, responsibilities, and timelines. Identify new initiatives/projects that will further the work of the Section or Division.
- Support the head of an organizational unit conducting a support activity which strongly influences the success of System-wide program operations. Outcome of projects may affect the integrity and efficiency of FR Bank protection, resiliency, and law enforcement policies and operations. Decisions have a direct effect on the level of and application of physical and technical security. Decisions influence the design, construction, or modification of Reserve Bank facilities as well as the surveillance, countermeasures, and response capabilities of Reserve Bank protection functions.
- Maintain regular contact with internal and external persons in executive or leadership positions using considerable tact, discretion, and persuasion in obtaining outcomes and managing high-level relationships. Construct clear, concise, and precise written work products, including emails, policies, regulations, briefing notes, examination findings, and/or opinions for delivery to internal and/or external stakeholders. Use logically ordered arguments to document analytical reasoning. Follow Board and other appropriate format, wording, usage, and style conventions. Apply a thorough understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and intended audience(s) to the process of writing, reviewing, editing, and/or offering constructive feedback on written work. Develop thorough, logically sequenced and engaging presentations. Orally express ideas and facts in a clear and organized manner to individuals or groups in a style, tone, and level of detail appropriate to the audience and the occasion.
- Work under regular guidance from the supervisor. The direction/approach of the project is recommended by the Senior Bank Protection Analyst and agreed upon by the Lead/Senior Bank Protection Analyst or the supervisor. The Lead/Senior Bank Protection Analyst or supervisor checks in periodically to answer questions or offer advice; review cycles take place only at key points.
- This role is located in Washington, DC, and will require on-site presence. Some travel is required for this position.
