Summary
Uses good knowledge of the business operations of the Council and agency requirements to perform a variety of duties of the Executive Secretary, the professional staff of the Council, and the member agencies. Provides assistance on administration and research matters, and provides overall Uses general knowledge of business and federal government operations to perform and coordinate a variety of administrative duties for the Office of the Executive Secretary, the professional staff of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (Council), and the member entities. Provides support to the overall function of the Council for meeting preparations, researching and responding to internal and external inquiries, and other duties as assigned. Work is carried out in a timely manner and with a high attention to detail to meet stakeholder needs.

Requires analytical ability and good oral and written communication skills normally acquired through completion of bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and at least three years (to qualify for FR24) or at least four years (to qualify for FR25) of experience in business or public administration. Interagency experience is desirable. Must have a good general understanding of the Council’s mission and function. Must have the ability to organize, coordinate, and lead special projects involving various levels of staff at the Council.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves as a research liaison for the Office of the Executive Secretary to respond to internal and external stakeholder requests, including Council staff. Co-leads the Office of the Executive Secretary in researching, analyzing, preparing, and responding to requests for content from Council archives. Analyzes data from research results and creates presentation materials when necessary. Assists on other assignments as needed.
- Assists the lead agency in scheduling Council meetings, arranging facilities, coordinating logistics, and confirming attendance of staff and State Liaison Committee participants. Coordinates preparation and distribution of meeting documents for agenda items, quarterly project updates, and other materials as needed.
- Drafts the minutes of Council meetings in a timely manner and vets them with the Office of the Executive Secretary and key stakeholders in preparation for Council review and approval. Follows appropriate policies, procedures, and retention schedules for archiving meeting records.
- Coordinates the quarterly project updates for Council groups, including task forces and other groups as needed. Includes maintaining templates, soliciting edits, revising, and compiling the documents for distribution to the Council and stakeholders.
- Performs time-sensitive, ad hoc assignments and provides administrative support to the Office of the Executive Secretary and other Council staff and member agencies on Council matters. Drafts and provides editorial review of documents as requested, including the Annual Report to Congress and the FFIEC annual budget.
- Participates in task force and other working group meetings as directed by the executive secretary for awareness and to be available to answer questions.
- Serves as the point of contact for intake of public inquiries submitted to the Office of the Executive Secretary. Responsible for reviewing all incoming correspondence and distributing same to the appropriate staff, FFIEC lead agency, or interagency contacts for action. Assists the Office of the Executive Secretary in researching, preparing, and responding to incoming requests from the member agencies, financial institutions, congressional offices, and the public as appropriate. Ensures that responses are clear, concise, and completed in a timely manner.
- Contributes to content discussions about the FFIEC website with the Office of the Executive Secretary and the website manager.
- Leads the coordination and production of the Council’s awards program with oversight from the executive secretary.
- Coordinates with the Council’s administrative agent on procurement matters, including being a purchase card holder for Council operations. Serves as the primary approver in the administrative agent’s system for travel and expense reimbursements for members of the State Liaison Committee and Council staff.
- Interfaces with high-level staff of the member entities in various divisions. Adapts to the style preferences of the rotating Chairmanship among the five federal agencies’ presidential appointees and quickly adapts to the changes in each member agency’s organizational structure and leadership.
- Performs several tasks concurrently with competing deadlines. May seek direction from the executive secretary to reprioritize workload in a rapidly changing environment. Entrusted with highly sensitive information. Makes written recommendations often requiring research and analysis and provides supporting documentation when reporting results of analysis.
