We're searching for a spirited and resourceful Area Sales Manager ("ASM") to join our US-based team! The ASM is a key geographic face of the organization and will have the target of making Fedegari a strategic business partner for customers.
Please Note ---> we're looking in Northeastern geographic market for our next Area Sales Manager, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Massachusetts/Greater Boston area. Although this role is remote, the initial training period will require regular travel to the Philadelphia-area US HQ in Sellersville, PA.
Summary
The Area Sales Manager (“ASM”) is responsible for driving the growth and revenue of the Commercial Sales Department by leading sales efforts in prospecting, targeting, developing, negotiating, and closing new business within their designated territory while consistently providing exceptional customer service. This position is focused on the Industrial Equipment & Integrated Projects segment of the Fedegari business. As a consultant to the customer, the ASM utilizes Fedegari Group resources and solutions to assess customer needs and deliver value-based proposals that transform the customer’s processes and maximize customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions

- Present, promote, and sell Fedegari products to existing and prospective customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships through timely responsiveness and accurate communication.
- Collaborate with Marketing to interpret the market and to target the correct segments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Fedegari product line and service offerings, and articulate conceptual value propositions to clients.
- Manage sales activities throughout the CRM --- continuously updating the CRM and making sales forecasts.
- Effectively communicate the strengths and competitive advantages of Fedegari products, services, and technologies and how the application of these can assist the customer in meeting their objectives.
- Read and comment URS with the help of the Application Engineering Dept.
- Management of the bid/quote process including, but not limited to, the distribution of the bid, technical and commercial review, pricing assistance/authorization, completion, and distribution of bid specific instructions.
- Negotiate to achieve agreements that provide a mutually acceptable solution to Fedegari and the customer and assist in commercial terms negotiations including pricing, payment terms, lead time, TOS, warranty, etc.
- Proactively communicate with counterparts in Italy with questions and project status.
- Stay well-informed on all changes to the scope of supply. Update OA (and possibly FAT date) and request change order from customer as necessary.
- Assist in preparation of materials for customer meetings.
- Collaborate with global sales team and management on the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans to ensure profitability and growth for all products and areas.
- Achieve sales targets and results within targeted time frame.
- Achieve revenue and gross margin objectives.
- Identify key customers.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and analyze the territory/market potential to advance business growth.
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to possess in depth knowledge of markets, customers, and products.
- Represent Fedegari Technologies and Fedegari Group in a professional and ethical manner.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably science or engineering related.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience selling within the biopharmaceutical or medical device industries, preferably focused on capital equipment sales.
- Demonstrated track record in lead generation and prospecting.
- Ability to overcome customer opposition, identify problems, and resolve concerns.
- Engaging personality and dynamic approach.
- Courteous, supportive, and respectful in all interactions.
- Possess genuine willingness to learn/coachable - be intuitive and resourceful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional and poised presentation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Direct working experience with Salesforce CRM.
- Ability to speak Italian and/or Spanish a plus.
- MBA or similar business education.
