Feddon Mechanical, LLC is looking for an experienced Project Manager - Plumbing or Mechanical who is career minded and wants to be part of a highly talented team.
The Position:
The Project Manager- Plumbing or Mechanical will manage one or multiple small to large plumbing projects. He/she will build and maintain strong relationships with GCs and owners, gather best pricing and on-time delivery of materials from vendors and suppliers. Submit change-orders and RFIs. Track schedules and budgets. Ensure project is completed safely, on-time, and on or under budget.
The duties will also include managing employee scheduling on projects, overseeing subcontracts, OSHA compliance, submittal reviews, progress billings with accounting department, attend progress meetings with GC, and keeping detail records of correspondents between clients.
Experience/knowledge
Must have the following:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in new construction/commercial plumbing or mechanical.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline also considered.
- Working knowledge of plumbing/ mechanical systems and plumbing/mechanical code to identify issues with the designs or conflicts with other trades.
- Understanding and working knowledge of the various types of pipe system materials, as well as, various connection methods and where they can best be utilized, when allowed
- Understand job schedules, job costing and be able to perform take offs by the use of prints or on the jobsite.
- Ability to identify and prepare RFIs and RFCOs
- Must be able to work with vendors to obtain the correct materials in a timely fashion either on or under budget by the use of blueprints and or submittals.
- Compile submittals from various vendors and subcontractors
- Ability to comprehend project specifications and construction drawings
- Ability to dissect a project to know how to best deliver materials to minimize handling, identify areas for prefab, and identify alternate installation methods/materials /routing
- Career-minded individual - looking for a new team member who will work closely with President/owner, Estimator, field personnel, and vendors…so your great communication skills will be utilized.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Extensive working knowledge and skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
- CAD experience a plus.
- BlueBeam experience a plus.
