Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and professional table service to members and guests, ensuring an elevated dining experience.
- Greet members by name whenever possible, anticipate their needs, and offer personalized food and beverage recommendations.
- Present menus, take accurate food and drink orders, and ensure timely and correct delivery of all items.
- Monitor tables throughout the meal to ensure guests are enjoying their experience and promptly address any concerns or special requests.
- Relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen and appropriate staff.
- Prepare and serve beverages, including mixing traditional and creative cocktails, pouring beers and wine properly, and recommending appropriate pairings.
- Verify identification and age requirements for all alcohol service in compliance with applicable laws.
- Open, monitor, and close member/guest tabs accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
- Prepare to-go orders and ensure they are complete and accurate.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitary practices in the dining areas, bar, tables, glassware, and workstations throughout the shift.
- Perform opening and closing side work, including breakdown of bar and dining areas and cleaning of all equipment.
- Build strong rapport with regular members to create a warm, welcoming, and positive atmosphere.
- Market the food and beverage operation to support the financial success of the club.
- Work effectively within a team to complete time-sensitive tasks and support overall service operations.
- Assist in training new employees by demonstrating proper service procedures and menu knowledge.
- Attend mandatory company and departmental meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set by the company and the Health Department.

Education and/or Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous fine dining or country club serving experience strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, with the ability to make informed recommendations and suggest pairings.
- Strong understanding of restaurant service procedures, table management, and guest experience standards.
- Knowledge of mixology, traditional and creative cocktails, beer, wine, and flavor pairings.
- General math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately.
- Food Handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Knowledge of applicable alcohol service laws and regulations.
- Ability to safely operate motorized golf carts and other equipment.
- Reliable transportation, good conversational English skills, punctuality, and professional appearance and mannerisms appropriate for a country club setting.
- Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, point-of-sale systems, and reservation systems.
- Work is performed in the event rooms of the clubhouse both indoors and outdoors.
- May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping.
- May also be subject to moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds with assistance and objects more than fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
