What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at FDM Group?
The People Team Generalist is an integral part of FDM. As a key point of contact for line managers and employees, this role will offer support and advice to all staff based across the US. They will also be responsible for carrying out HR initiatives, ensuring the support needed from an HR perspective is delivered to meet business objectives. This role ensures that all human resource activities/processes run smoothly as well as suggesting new initiatives that would be beneficial to the company and its employees. They will provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities across this role include but are not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders across FDM US
- Coach and support department managers on various employee issues (terminations, performance reviews, employee issues etc)
- Ensuring that all policies are 100% compliant with US employment legislation, review changes with legal
- Administer U.S. benefits programs for a technology workforce, including medical, dental, vision, life/STD/LTD, FSA/HSA, commuter, wellness, and 401(k).
- Own open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communications tailored to a technical audience.
- Assist the Head of People, US communicating with benefits brokers, carriers, and vendors; resolve escalations efficiently.
- Ensure accurate benefits data in HRIS/benefits platforms, partner closely with Payroll and Finance on deductions and reconciliations.
- Support ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and multi-state compliance requirements.
- Administer and track leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, state leaves)
- Responsible for the Reasonable accommodation request process from beginning to end
- Assist HR team with wellness events and monthly calendar
- Own end-to-end onboarding for new hires- Internal and Consultants
- Manage offboarding including exit interviews and releases to ensure compliance
- Administer semi-annual performance reviews and partner with managers to support effective feedback
- Conducting prompt and impartial workplace investigations; Consulting with legal when necessary
- Ensuring all background checks and vetting procedures are conducted appropriately and in line with client expectations
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS; process hires, promotions, role changes, compensation updates, and terminations.
- Partner with Payroll and Finance on audits, LOA pay coordination, and updating employment status and pay changes
- Collaborate with HR team members on daily responsibilities and projects
- Oversee wellness and engagement initiatives across the US
- Additional duties as assigned
About You
Essential Criteria
- 2-3 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably within a global technology, software, SaaS, or IT services company
- Hands-on experience with benefits administration, leave administration, onboarding, and performance management.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and benefits compliance.
- HR related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, work well under pressure and multitask effectively
- Enthusiastic attitude and positive work ethic
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Success Factors, Internet, and email
- Able and willing to travel locally and nationally to meet with consultants
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge using Salesforce CRM
- Knowledge of HRIS reporting

Salary : $65,000 - $72,000
