Reports to: Vice President of Finance

FLSA Status: Exempt


Position Summary:

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the company's overall technology strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise applications, and IT support across multiple office locations. This position ensures technology enables business growth, improves operational efficiency, protects company data, and supports field operations throughout the organization.

The Director of IT will oversee all technology operations for the Company offices in Tulsa, OK, Riverside, Missouri, Oklahoma City, OK, Phoenix, AZ, and Atlanta, GA.  This leader will work closely with executive leadership to identify technology initiatives that improve collaboration, project execution, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's long-term IT strategic plan. Align technology initiatives with corporate growth objectives. Serve as the primary technology advisor to executive leadership. Prepare and manage annual IT budgets and capital expenditures. Evaluate emerging technologies that improve productivity and competitiveness. Create and deliver basic IT education modules for Company employees.

·        Infrastructure & Operations: Manage all corporate networks, servers, cloud infrastructure, internet connectivity, and telecommunications. Ensure reliable operation of all offices and remote users.  Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Standardize hardware and software across all company locations. Oversee system performance, backups, and technology lifecycle management.

·        Cybersecurity: Develop and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity policies. Protect company systems against cyber threats and ransomware. Oversee endpoint protection, firewalls, multifactor authentication (MFA), and identity management. Coordinate security awareness training. Manage cybersecurity incident response and recovery procedures. Ensure compliance with industry with best practices and applicable regulations.

·        Enterprise Applications: Manage and optimize company business systems including ERP/Accounting software, Project management software, estimating platforms, document management systems, Microsoft 365 environment, Collaboration tools, Bluebeam, Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting solutions, lead software implementation projects, and system integrations.

·        IT Support: Initially serve as liaison between companies current Managed Service Provider (MSP) Lead internal IT support services for all office and field employees. Establish service level expectations and help desk performance metrics. Develop technology standards and user support procedures. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding technology processes.

·        Vendor Management: Serve as liaison with companies current Managed Service Provider (MSP) [JG3] [LC4] and company leadership/employees.  Negotiate software licensing and technology contracts. Manage relationships with software vendors, internet providers, and telecommunications partners. Evaluate vendor performance and control technology costs.

·        Construction Office/ Site Technology: Support technology used by project teams in office locations and on construction sites including phones, tablets, project collaboration software, electronic document management, digital plan review systems, Equipment tracking technologies.

Qualifications:

·        Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies. Experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts. Excellent leadership and communication skills.

·        Preferred: Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial services. Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in construction. Experience supporting geographically dispersed offices. Knowledge of project management methodologies.

·        Occasional travel to project sites across the U.S. and must be comfortable navigating construction sites.
