POSITION SUMMARYThe Procurement Specialists' key responsibilities are:Understand and adhere to all of Project policies, particularly to the procurement and safety policiesMaintain high data integrity when inputting records in the company’s database systemsProvide reporting and analysis on procurement activities, variances and impactsFacilitate the implementation of business specific contracts for services and/or materialsSuccessfully executes elements of the project procurement plan in accordance with approved corporate and or project policies, procedures, plans, strategy and budgetsPrepare and oversee the preparation of all bid documents, bid tabulations and selection recommendations. This includes preparing the sourcing strategy, bid packages, supplier agreements and overseeing the development of the scope of workWork collaboratively with key project stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured in the total cost of ownership solutionRelationship management with vendors and internal stakeholders on all procurement related mattersContract negotiations and preparation, including issuing approval of contract documents, subcontracts and purchase ordersLogistics coordination including expediting for critical site deliveriesSupport the procurement team on daily activities as requiredEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS3 years’ experience within a purchasing department Post-secondary education or work experience in a related field JOB REQUIREMENTSTechnical depth of knowledge in the areas of construction related materials and services Knowledge of procurement principles, techniques, practices and ethics Knowledge of fundamentals of contract law, negotiating business agreements, and laws of requesting tenders, proposals, and quotations Proven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment Ability to work effectively within a team environment and be service oriented Ability to build positive working relationships with professionals within industry and internal clients Strong negotiation skills Strong communication skills: ability to distill strategy into a clear, compelling and concise narrative Solid research skills and commitment to continually learn about new products Attention to detail, mathematical and analytical skills Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong interpersonal skills are essential Understanding of ERP systems, knowledge of SAP planning system would be an asset Ability to analyze complex data and derive well supported linear and non-linear premises Results oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelinesAbility to manage and coordinate competing organizational needs Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamFCC is dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and respected. Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
