What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROJECT MANAGER (STEEL CONSTUCTION) position at FCA Certified Public Accountants?
Purpose of Position:
Currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our organization’s mission to provide superior quality, lasting value, and outstanding customer service through our day-to-day workflow processes.
Candidate will lead projects from start to finish and coordinate resources to ensure projects remain within defined scope, schedule and budget. Candidate will also be expected to analyze project progress and ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage relationships with internal and external customers, trade partners and industry associates.
- Prioritize urgent matters from customers and subcontractors.
- Communicate with customers, vendors and team members in a timely manner.
- Perform, coordinate and/or oversee project management activities during procurement, design, construction, and close-out phases.
- Manage, order and track materials to ensure a timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Review construction documents and budgets to determine level of project completion.
- Perform site inspections and document subcontractor progress including job completion forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years Commercial Construction experience required.
- Working knowledge of steel/general construction terms.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass drug and background screenings.
- Ability to perform required physical aspects of job inspections which include climbing, reaching, bending, stooping, crawling, standing, walking, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, and touching.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office- especially Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Detail oriented with strong writing and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet schedules.
- Ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays, as needed for site inspections.
- Willing and able to travel outside of state and perform outdoor site walks in all weather conditions.
Position is Full Time 8-5/M-F, working primarily in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. As this position is related to construction, which can be an unpredictable field, hours may occasionally vary from week to week and exposure to elements can be experienced when making site visits.
Compensation will be based on experience and includes benefits such as paid holidays, paid time off, performance incentives, etc.
