COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Facility Contract Services (FCS) is a Florida-based contract services company that employs and manages personnel for municipal clients. Our staffing services include administrative support, clerical, accounting, payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, human resources, supervisory roles, utility services, water and wastewater plant operations, property and general services management, building and landscape maintenance, parks and recreation, and senior and community services. FCS specializes in municipal privatization through a task-based approach aimed at improving productivity and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
This position will be responsible for working closely with the entire Communications staff on all pr/marketing campaigns and efforts to ensure efficient, accurate and effective communication to residents and businesses via social media and YouTube. At times, events, meetings or workshops may warrant attendance to gather photos and/or videos on weekends or in the evening and possible EOC staffing at City Center during a weather event.
The candidate must have experience with social and visual media.
Essential duties include:
- Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (i.e. original text, photos, reels, shorts, videos, news), manage and create social media marketing campaigns in collaboration with staff, oversee social media accounts’ design, and develop relevant content topics to reach the city's residents and businesses.
- Work with City staff in various departments creating effective social media posts/campaigns; collaborate with staff and create and upload videos on YouTube; Live stream meetings and special events when needed; Analyze the City’s social media strategy, identify strategic weaknesses, and make frequent recommendations for improvements; and set key performance indicators for social media campaigns such as targets for certain number of shares or likes to increase exposure to residents/businesses.
- College/University degree in Communications or related field (preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years proven work experience in social media and producing YouTube videos with hands-on experience in content creation, editing and management
- Strong knowledge of and skills for current and emerging social media and audio/video technologies, live streaming, multimedia communications and engagement monitoring/analysis – ability to track key metrics using analytics tools and create reports to refine future efforts
- Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Significant independent judgment and self-motivation with attention to detail.
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities under pressure
- Effective time-management skills
Schedule
This opportunity in the City of Pembroke Pines operates 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday) 7 am to 6 pm and during specific special events, meetings or programs.
