About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented waterjet operator to join our manufacturing team in Winston, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately cutting raw materials using waterjet equipment according to company-provided blueprints and performing secondary machining as specified.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with manufacturing equipment, following production specifications, handling materials, and working as part of a team to meet production and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate waterjet equipment to cut parts according to company-provided blueprints and specifications.
- Perform secondary machining and other finishing preparation as required by production drawings.
- Prepare parts according to the production schedule to support on-time delivery and customer expectations.
- Learn and utilize various tools and equipment to cut and machine parts of varying complexity.
- Review production information and communicate with the supervisor regarding incomplete assemblies, rework, or other issues that may affect production schedules.
- Use computers and manufacturing software to issue materials, report completed routers, and review upcoming shipments.
- Work collaboratively with the manufacturing team to meet or exceed production, quality, and manufacturing standards.
- Move and handle materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine cleaning of equipment and department areas.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the lead, supervisor, or production manager.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience operating waterjet or similar manufacturing/cutting equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn various tools and equipment.
- Ability to work with computers and manufacturing software.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to safely handle and move materials as required.
