Job Title: Quality Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and strengthen our manufacturing quality organization supporting a military trainer aircraft program for the U.S. Air Force.
This role is critical in driving a Zero-Defect Culture, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, and leading continuous improvement across operations. You will work cross-functionally to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time production while developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the multi-shift quality organization (inspection, engineering, audits, CAPA)
- Support deployment and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and KPI performance
- Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Ensure compliance with AS9100D, regulatory, and customer requirements
- Oversee:
- First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Inspection & control plans
- Configuration & document control
- Manage nonconforming material (MRB) and risk-based decision-making
- Lead Corrective Action Board (CAPA) and root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, PDCA)
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and program teams
- Develop and mentor quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians
- Promote a culture aligned with core values: Trust, Drive, Expertise, Support
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
- 8 years of manufacturing quality experience
- 5 years of people leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D standards
- Proven experience in audit leadership
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities (Lean tools, RCA methods)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing (composites and/or metallic structures)
- Experience working with DCMA
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing teams
- Strategic mindset with strong execution skills
Salary : $132,000 - $171,600
