Instructional Design Intern – Summer 2026
The Instructional Design Intern plays a key role in supporting the PC Performance training team. Partnering with experienced professionals in the field of Instructional Design, the individual will create effective training materials for our business partners in Claims and Underwriting.
What You’ll Do:
- Design training presentations, materials, and resources.
- Assist with preparation for in-person and online training events.
- Use instructional design applications to build and manage content.
- Share creative and innovative ideas, contribute to team meeting discussions, and build lasting networking connections.
We are looking for two (2) interns to join our team this summer! Interns will be involved in our 80/10/10 internship approach. The 80/10/10 approach means that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area, 10% of your time will be exposure to other areas of the business through job shadows, and the final 10% of your time will be spent involved in corporate activities and shared experiences across the organization.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- Be a current college student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status).
- Experience with instructional design tools and software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint), and Articulate 360 preferred but not needed.
- Be dependable, organized, and proactive.
- Maintain effective communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and be team focused.
- Learn quickly and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to work part-time from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
