Accounting Assistant
Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking an Accounting Assistant. In this role, while you’re performing routine accounting activities, no two days are the same! You’ll handle accounts payable invoices, communicate with vendors, and assist with reconciliations and expense accruals. If you like to work independently, or if you prefer teamwork…you’ll have some of both!

What You’ll Do:
· Process vendor invoices, purchase orders and determine, prepare, and post monthly expense accruals
· Assist with contacting new and existing vendors and researching departmental and vendor payment inquiries
· Reconcile general ledger accounts, post journal entries, and back-up other team members as needed
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
· Strong Excel skills required.
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with vendors and team members
