Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
- Perform stock stocking, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment activities with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct shipping and receiving duties by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and inventory accuracy.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for materials handling tasks including load & unload operations and heavy lifting.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations during all warehouse activities.
- Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed, including packaging and materials handling for various projects.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or related fields with a focus on warehouse experience.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 systems, and RF scanners for inventory control.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining mechanical aptitude for equipment operation.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in stock management, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices in materials handling environments.
