Fazenda Coffee Roasters is hiring a part time Roastery Assistant at our roasting facility in Dedham. Currently hiring for a full time position.
The Production Assistant role is involved in packaging roasted coffee through our semi-automated and automated production lines, packaging tea, assisting our roaster and production manager in preparing for each roast day, and maintaining a clean and sanitary production space. Experience isn’t necessary, but we value work ethic and a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities
· Assist in picking & packing of coffee and tea orders;
· Operate equipment to label, weigh, and package whole bean and ground coffee;
· Assist in blending, weighing, and packaging tea;
· Receive and put away shipments;
· Maintain an organized and clean production space;
· Help in conducting daily inventory reporting and a weekly inventory count;
· Find and suggest ways that our operation can continue to be more efficient;
· Perform other tasks and duties to assist the roast master and production manager.
Capabilities

· You have a strong attention to detail.
· You enjoy collaborating and work well with others.
· You're internally driven to stay focused and motivated, and have excellent multi-tasking abilities
· You're comfortable lifting boxes up to 45 pounds at a time, sometimes frequently and throughout the day.
· You're fine with bending, reaching, carrying, standing, and walking throughout the day.
· Prior experience in the coffee industry (barista experience is a plus!), or in other specialty food or beverage manufacturing or retail.
