Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Veterinary Assistant position located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will assist veterinarians with handling animals, preparing them for exams, administering treatments, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will provide exceptional care to pets, educate clients on proper pet care practices, and deliver outstanding customer service. Your role will contribute to ensuring the health, comfort, and well-being of our patients.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Animal Care and Pet Care, including handling, feeding, and supporting animals during exams and treatments
- Experience in Client Education and the ability to provide clear instructions regarding pet preventative, wellness, and health
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with pet owners
- Knowledge or experience in Veterinary Medicine, including basic medical terminology and assisting in procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in animal care is preferred but not required
- Must be physically capable of gently handling, moving, and/or restraining animals as needed
