Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring and reliable Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about early childhood education.
Schedule Requirements:
Required hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Some classrooms may require 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM availability
Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in daily routines, activities, and classroom management.
Assist in preparing learning materials and maintaining a clean, organized classroom.
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration and independence.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.
Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and colleagues.
Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.
Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
Dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children at their level.
