Job Overview
- We are seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic Early Childhood Teacher in our young preschool classroom to support the daily activities and supervision of children in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children around the age of two years old, creates a positive and engaging classroom environment, and supports children’s social, emotional, and academic development through play-based learning and daily routines. Pay is based on experience in Early Childhood Education.
Responsibilities
- Schedule: Monday–Friday; 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, and early childhood development.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Engage with children through play-based learning, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with patience and understanding.
- Help facilitate communication between classroom families and other staff members in the classroom when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes optimal learning experiences.
- Participate in ongoing training related to early childhood education.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings. (Preferred)
- Understanding of childhood development principles and Arkansas Minimal Licensing Requirements. (Preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, children, and families. (Required)
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth through engaging activities rooted in literacy education, math, and social-emotional learning. (Required)
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work well as part of a team. (Required)
