Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure a polished appearance.
- Handle trash removal by emptying bins and disposing of waste according to safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly.
- Assist with light custodial tasks such as window washing, dusting surfaces, and replenishing supplies like paper towels and soap.
- Support general facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting as needed.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, stripping, waxing, and general custodial practices.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality in every task performed.
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various environments.
