Job Summary
We're seeking a passionate, Licensed Daycare Director to oversee daily operations, foster a vibrant learning environment, and lead our amazing team of educators. This salaried role (up to $50,000/year) offers the chance to shape young lives while driving center excellence in compliance with Georgia DECAL standards. Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Manage all aspects of center operations, including staffing schedules, enrollment processes, and facility maintenance to ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks–5 years.
  • Curriculum & Program Development: Collaborate with teachers to design and implement age-appropriate curricula aligned with Georgia Early Learning Standards, incorporating play-based learning, Pre-K readiness, and inclusive practices.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and mentor 15 staff members; conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing professional development, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Maintain DECAL licensure, conduct regular safety audits, and uphold Quality Rated standards to exceed state regulations.
  • Parent & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with families through open communication, parent workshops, newsletters, and events; handle inquiries and resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting, track expenses for supplies/toys, and support enrollment growth through targeted marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid Georgia Director Credential and current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood education, including 1 year in a supervisory or director role.
  • Strong knowledge of DECAL regulations, licensing requirements, and best practices in child safety and development.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in child care software (e.g., Procare or Brightwheel) a plus.
  • Background check clearance and ability to lift 25 lbs. (for child safety protocols).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Georgia Pre-K programs or STEAM/STEM integration.
  • Proven track record in staff retention and enrollment growth.
  • Business acumen for budgeting and community outreach.
