Bar Porter
* Full Time or Part Time*
The Villa Roma is a year-round resort with multiple dining venues & bars with a variety of styles. Bar porters have a vital role assisting in the seamless operations of these areas.
Responsibilities may include setting up the bar area, ensuring that it is clean and well-maintained, assisting with inventory management, supporting the bartenders and waitstaff, assisting with stock replenishment and ordering, greeting and serving customers, and handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Fast-paced environment
- Must work well under pressure
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Must be able to manage the physical demands of the position, requiring several hours of standing, walking, and carrying heavy objects.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Other physical requirements may include the ability to climb stairs, reach high shelves, and bend or stoop repeatedly.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for order totals and cash handling
- Excellent guest relations skills, with a focus on providing exceptional service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices for food handling and dining areas
