Organizational Structure
- IPM Lead reports directly to the Head Grower
- Following company SOP's and guidance from the Head Grower
- Accountability over all IPM techs and their daily tasks that involve IPM practices during clone, vegetative, and flowering phases that include beneficial deployment, scouting, and spray applications
- Ensuring both accuracy and consistency is carried out when mixing and applying various products
- Oversight on routine cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and tools used during applications that includes following a preventative maintenance schedule
- Assist in ensuring all safety, PPE, and sign requirements are properly used and/or displayed for each individual application to protect the health of the IPM techs, plants, and other employees
- Accountability over keeping all spaces, tools, and equipment in the facility clean and safe to promote a healthy work environment
- Assurance that all applications made are properly documented per state and company regulation
- Ability to assist the cultivation team leads when needed by assigning tasks to IPM techs such as cloning, pruning, and placing/cleaning/harvesting rooms after other core duties have been met first
- Assist the head grower with inventory tracking of all products used and equipment needed
- Ability to frequently move and/or lift a maximum of 50 pounds
- Ability to work for long periods of time in humid, warm environments
- Ability to stand, sit, move, kneel, and/or bend for extended time periods
- Must be comfortable wearing a full-face respirator and Tyvek suit in humid, warm environments for extended periods of time in the dark while using a headlamp
- Must have prior cannabis cultivation or IPM experience to be considered for this role
- Must hold and maintain a valid Michigan certified or registered pesticide applicators license
- Must stay clean shaven so respirator masks will seal properly
- Mustaches/goatees are acceptable as long as facial hair does not interfere with a tight-fitting seal around your face
- Must be able to pass both a medical evaluation and respirator fit test from a licensed facility
- Must be comfortable operating spray equipment on rolling safety ladders in a tiered setting
- Prior work experience with IPM practices in cannabis cultivation is strongly preferred but not required
- Minimum of a high school diploma or general education diploma
- Must be at least 21 years old per state regulation
- Subject to a state required background check
- This role requires Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues availability as weekend coverage will be required
- Ability to work holidays, overtime, and/or on a flexible schedule when needed
- Ability to multi-task and have effective time management skills
- Strong verbal communication skills are preferred
- Adaptability to changing priorities in order to meet company goals
- Follow all state and company regulations regarding cannabis practices
