Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with a focus on patient safety.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals and groups.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland.
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- At least 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Eligibility for credentialing and participation with the practice's contracted insurance networks.
- Successful completion of required criminal background checks, license verification, professional reference checks, and credentialing verification.
- National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) verification: Candidates must disclose applicable reportable professional history and successfully complete NPDB review. Any adverse reports, disciplinary actions, malpractice payments, or credentialing concerns will be evaluated individually and must be satisfactorily resolved or explained before engagement.
- No current license restrictions or unresolved credentialing issues that would prevent the practitioner from providing services or participating with the practice's insurance networks.
- Ability to provide in-person services in Bel Air at least once weekly.
Compensation and Schedule
- Compensation: $100 per completed clinical hour
- Initial Psychiatric Evaluations (60 minutes): $100 per completed encounter.
- Medication Management Follow-Up Visits (30 minutes): $50 per completed encounter.
- Compensation is based exclusively on completed patient-facing clinical services. Administrative time, appointment cancellations, no-shows, and unfilled appointment slots are not compensated unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with telehealth flexibility.
- On-Site Requirement: Must be available to provide in-person patient care at our Bel Air, Maryland location at least one day per week.
- Flexible scheduling based on mutually agreed-upon availability and patient demand.
