Salary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Group Practice. This role is essential in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients across various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychopharmacology and patient assessment, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.DutiesConduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate mental health and substance use disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans.Prescribe psychotropic medications and monitor their effects, adjusting dosages as necessary.Conduct individual/family therapy sessions with patients regarding mental health management, substance use disorders, emotional disorders, and nutritional deficiencies.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and therapists to ensure continuity and holistic care of the patientMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychiatric nursing.Maintain detailed records of client visits and progressDevelopment of individualized treatment plansOrder/interpret labs for all clients on caseloadTreat client population in accordance with company guidelines & standard operating proceduresDocument in accordance with state and insurance guidelinesComplete forms/letters as requested by clients for various needsComplete documentation in a timely mannerComplete weekly timesheetDiagnose and treat all mental health and emotional disordersCommunicate with pharmacies regarding refill requestsParticipate in community outreach and education as needed/requestedCompleting prior authorizations for medications orderedCheck company email regularlyProvide individual therapy to clients as needed/requested by themRequirementsMasters degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.Current ANCC certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).Active Maryland state nursing licenseMalpractice/liability insuranceActive DEA/CDS registrationsStrong knowledge of psychopharmacology and patient assessment techniques are a plus.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.Commitment to providing empathetic and culturally competent care.Negative background checkHybrid model (2-3 days onsite)Pay:Depends on experience, skill level, and number of clients seen.Join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health and substance use issues.
