Description:
The Reading Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement in the area of English Language Arts, with special attention to reading.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide targeted interventions to small groups of students in push in and/or pull out formats as needed, implementing phonics, fluency and reading comprehension strategies
-Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and student intervention plans.
-Administer and score screening reading assessments to determine student support and monitor progress
-Collaborate with general/special education educators on ELA curriculum, accommodations, modifications, and the monitoring of progress
-Work and collaborate with families, classroom teachers, other specialists, and administrators to develop and provide the most effective interventions and methods of instruction to address individual student needs
-Employ a variety of instructional strategies that engage students at a high level
Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established district and state curriculum standards
-Create a positive classroom environment that supports effective teaching and learning
-Regularly communicate student progress with parents/caregivers, teachers, and administrators
Rates:
$130.00/day- Associates or 60-119 credits
$145.00/day -120 College Credits or Bachelor’s Degree
$160.00/day - Certified or Retired Teachers
Salary : $90 - $130
