Position Summary:

The Endoscopy Technician will facilitate the safe and efficient performance of endoscopic procedures.

• Keep patient and work areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available, working properly, and sterilized
• Help manage inventory and order supplies
• Assist with training new team members as needed
• Prepare the endoscopy room with necessary equipment and supplies
• Make sure scopes are properly cleaned and ready for each procedure
• Help prepare, move, and position patients
• Assist the physician during procedures by handling scopes and supplies
• Handle and send lab specimens correctly
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain scopes and equipment following safety guidelines
• Safely operate equipment according to instructions
• Document sterilization and processing of equipment
• Test and monitor cleaning and disinfecting solutions as required

Work Schedule & Additional Responsibilities:
This position is scheduled based on operational needs and may include holidays, extended shifts, and assigned night or weekend call rotations. Education:

• High school diploma required
• Endoscopy Technician certification preferred
• Experience in endoscopy strongly preferred
• CNA background acceptable, but must have prior hospital experience
• Strong team player with a solid work ethic
• Flexible and adaptable
• Must live within a 30–45-minute commute to the facility

Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
