Winchester Gastroenterology Associates is now hiring for their new Purcellville location. We are looking for a full-time Endoscopy Technician/Medical Assistant who demonstrates strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills with a proactive attitude, commitment to team goals and the ability to handle challenges constructively. As always, gastroenterology medical office and procedural experience preferred. The individual can be a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant, or can be trained on the job.
Hours are flexible 8 or 10 hour shifts to cover Monday - Friday 0700am-530pm
Pay will be based on experience.

Must demonstrate an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient as well as our practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting providers and nursing staff in clinical setting
- Obtain vital signs and accurately records results in patient’s chart
- Obtain any necessary reports, hospital records, etc. to assist in patient care
- Assists provider with examinations and procedures as needed
- Setting up for endoscopic procedures, assisting during procedures, cleaning of endoscopic scopes
- Answers telephone and acts as a patient relations representative for the practice by taking care of the needs of the caller within the scope of his/her knowledge and practices standards
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
- Works within a team to support procedural care and the clinical floor
- Performs other tasks or services deemed necessary by the provider or supervisor
