What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at FastTek Global?

- The main function of a business analyst is to perform analysis on automotive sales, pricing, and incentives.
- The business analyst will be responsible for identifying data insights, developing reports and/or presenting findings to management.
- Data Analysis and Presentation (Required)
- Work with large data from multiple sources
- Be able to identify trends and compile data into meaningful charts and graphs
- Be able to understand and present the story within the data
- Adapt the message and presentation based on the audience
- Advanced Technical Expertise in Excel & PowerPoint (Required)
- Streamline processes and drive efficiencies
- Creativity from a PowerPoint Perspective.
- Solid Understanding of Microeconomics (Preferred)
- Understand relationships between Supply and Demand on Price
- Understand how price and incentives impact consumer behaviors
- Understand Elasticity and be able to calculate it
- Prior experience working with automotive sales, product and/or incentive pricing data sources is a plus (Preferred)
- Current Team Structure: One direct employee, one contractor, and one third-party resource supporting data-related activities.
- Training Support: Assisting with onboarding and training on the new platform.
- Collaboration Approach: Small, closely aligned team that divides tasks based on analysis requirements and incoming requests.
- Provide regular reporting; Example: updates on EV tax credit changes (1-2 times per week).
- Deliver standard recurring reports as needed.
- Collect and analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Translate data into clear, compelling narratives for leadership decision-making.
- Prepare and present data-driven insights to internal leadership in a concise and impactful manner.
- Role may be extended based on performance and budget availability.
- Candidate should anticipate potential downtime during scheduled shutdown periods.
- Dynamic Environment: Highly active space involving retail market incentives for us and competitors.
- Growth Opportunity: Potential for extension and direct engagement based on performance.
- Leadership Visibility: Strong exposure and interaction with leadership teams.
- 5 years required
- Bachelor's highly preferred, but open to equivalent work experience
