We Are Looking For
An Engineering Technician who will support the overall needs of the Engineering department. This individual will support engineering and production functions, including technical support and advising on building of tooling and fixtures and first article builds. This role requires a positive, high energy, detail-oriented team player who is willing to learn and execute tasks efficiently. Success in this role requires relentless execution of process improvements, operational excellence and a commitment to delivering results at the site.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a liaison between engineering and production
- Support engineering on new build control plans and other build and process documentation
- Assist on the production floor with first article builds
- Design and build production tooling and fixtures
- Provide technical support for cable casting operations
- Oversee 3D printing operations and machines
- Be able to read and interpret engineering level mechanical drawings
- Demonstrate through understanding of the use of application of cosmetic, workmanship, packaging commercial and military industry standards. Specifically, IPC-620, IPC-610 and J-STD-001
- Participate in team member training
- Accomplish Engineering tasks as directed by the Engineering department or management
- Support production, engineering, and other internal departments to further the interest of the company as a whole
- Perform MRB duties to perform Root Cause analysis and assist production
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years' experience in production and cable assembly
- A minimum of three to five years of previous employment in electronics industry is preferred
- J-JTD-001, IPC-620 certification with experience in the field of cable assembly is highly preferred
- Ability to read and understand a drawing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with high performance teams
- Problem analysis and problem resolution skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- ITAR Requirement
- 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
